Passwords are part of our culture. They are everywhere from your first logon screen to your Internet service provider. If you have a user name, you have a password.
Many casual users of the Internet (and plenty who should know better) have a tendency to take passwords for granted. To conserve a few brain cells, they may create a simple password that is easy to remember and use it for anything and everything that requires registering and protecting with a password. The key word here is protecting. Weak passwords can be as bad as no passwords at all.
If you are using an online service to access the Internet, one of the first things you did was choose a user id and password. Treat your passwords with respect. Anyone with casual access to your user identification and password information can, in effect, be you, with all the rights and privileges you have on your account. Your account could be used for anything and everything, including unauthorized purchases and other illegal activities. Here are a few tips to protect yourself.

This is one interesting idea. The presenter, Pranav Mistry came up with this idea and hoped to bring the technology to the masses. Let’s just hope greedy companies aren’t planning to rope this all in,comes up with expensive products and suppress the potentials of this genius device.
If you’re unable to see the video, it’s about a demonstration on how a mobile device can have two-way communications between the digital world and the real world, using gestures of your hand. Think, you can copy and paste everything you see. Think, you don’t need LCD screen to play you favorite games.
Thanks to Bro Nik Azmi of ’68 for his post in the MCOBA GoogleGroup

If you’re planning to buy a PC sometime later this year, then expect a ridiculously high price because prices of PCs are expected to hike. During the recession last year, manufacturers have reduced capacity and delayed building additional plants, causing a component shortage this year. The reason behind this is the price hike is due to the transition from DDR2 to DDR3 memory components, which are up to 23% more expensive. The overall cost of semiconductor components is expected to increase by 2.3% this year, and this is the response from semiconductor suppliers. The prices of LCD panels and hard drives are also expected to cost 20% more. Right, now that the manufacturers are recovering from the recession, it’s our turn to suffer the post-effect!

I am pleased to cordially invite the members of MCKK Class of 9296 to grace this event and spend some time to reminisce old times. Koleq style.
